What to Expect
Most of us have never purchased a memorial marker for a loved one, and the process can often be confusing. To that end, we’ve put together a guide for what to expect when purchasing a memorial. If you have other questions, you can always contact us here.
Selecting a Memorial
The cemetery where your loved one will be buried can often play a large role in what type of memorial you’ll be able to install. Different cemeteries have different regulations, so we’ll help you determine your options when we meet. Once you know your options, there are a few steps involved in selecting a memorial.
- Look through our samples and photos of memorials.
- Decide on a type, color, and size marker.
- Determine designs and information you would like to include.
Once you decide on these items, we’ll be able to provide you with a price for your monument.
Preparing the Design Drawings
Our designers will prepare a rough drawing for your marker based on your choices. Once you are comfortable with the rough sketch, we’ll prepare an agreement and collect a deposit. We’ll provide you with a finished design drawing which you’ll be able to edit and change to your liking. Once you approve the final drawing, we can begin production on your marker.
Preparing the Memorial
This is where, as we design and produce the stone which will mark your loved one’s grave, we contact the cemetery to make arrangements to install your marker. We’ll order the foundation on which your marker will be installed and take care of all the details.
Final Steps
We’ll contact you when your marker is complete and ready to be installed. We’ll collect the final payment and schedule the installation for you.
